Some attempts at poetry, euphuism and lyricism. I usually try to be true to the old form (the kind of poetry I grew up with) with most of my work but do occasionally write in the new age styles.

I've lately been trying for a very simple meter but hope to gravitate towards doing some good pieces in the iambic pentameter.

Twice Truly Terrible

Of all the creatures of the night
That bathe in ink and shun the light
There is one above the rest to fear
The one to never venture near

me

Of all the toothed taloned beasts
Of thirsts debauch and grisly feasts
To chance and fate and God entreat
Pray that you mayn’t ever meet

me

I pick a shard and spit the whole
I hit and jar and  wring the soul
To me! to me! Ye savage horde
Who pegs the morsels you devour

me

In countless tales who's vilified
for rage & lust & greed & pride
and though the brain may play a part
Its me! I am the human heart
