Some attempts at poetry, euphuism and lyricism. I usually try to be true to the old form (the kind of poetry I grew up with) with most of my work but do occasionally write in the new age styles.

I've lately been trying for a very simple meter but hope to gravitate towards doing some good pieces in the iambic pentameter.

Love is nothing extraordinary

Care not for the passionate
first kiss on fruity lips
but for the careful brushing on the faded

Forget that moment
which spans an eternity
Revel in that eternity that is endured stoically

It is much harder to live
and work for love
than to die in that moment of crazed infatuation

Love finds its true greatness in the ordinary
Love is nothing extraordinary
